Put every window exactly where you want it.
Snapped is a window manager for macOS and Windows, built around your layouts - not your operating system’s. Draw your own hotspots anywhere on the desktop, then drop windows into them - and take the same layouts across your Mac and PC, if you want.
On a Mac, you can also install with Homebrew
How it works
macOS and Windows can tile windows. Snapped lets you decide where they should actually go.
Draw your hotspots
Create the regions that match how you actually work.
Drag + Shift
Move any resizable window normally and hold Shift to reveal your hotspots.
Drop
Release over a hotspot and the window fills it.
Shift gates the snap, so ordinary drags behave normally. Drag a snapped window back out and it gets its old size back.
Layouts that remember your displays - and your desktops
Your office monitor should not behave like your MacBook. When you reconnect a display or switch desktops, Snapped brings back the layout that belongs there.
Focus on one thing
Press ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift on a window and everything else dims - other displays included. Nothing is hidden, and Do Not Disturb can come along too.
Create hotspots on the desktop
No coordinate fields, no layout editor full of numbers. Draw, move, resize, rename and delete hotspots where they actually live - and overlap them for more precise layouts.
Back up your layouts
Export your hotspots to Dropbox, Google Drive, iCloud Drive or anywhere else, and import them on your next computer - Mac or PC.

On a Mac? Install with Homebrew
$ brew install --cask tompodab/tap/snappedOn macOS, Snapped uses Accessibility permission to move and resize windows. It never needs your documents or what is inside your windows.
